Speaker: Linda K. Harrison
Linda K. Harrison is the clinical director for October Road, Inc. She received her Masters Degree in Counseling from Western North Carolina University. She holds several national and state certifications and licensures.
She is a NC Licensed Professional Counselor, NC Licensed Clinical Addictions Specialist, NC Certified Clinical Supervisor (NCSAPPB), NC Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor (NCLPCB) and a nationally certified Master Addictions Counselor and National Board Certified Counselor.
Linda has worked in the fields of public health and mental health social work and counseling since 1980. She balances her work in mental health with farming on her homestead in upper Buncombe County with her sons and husband. She enjoys hiking, gardening, knitting, beekeeping, quilting, and caring for her dairy goats.

Speaker: Laura McIlvaine
Laura McIlvaine is the training director for October Road, Inc. She is completing her Masters Degree in Counseling at Western North Carolina University.
She is a credentialed Person Centered Thinking Trainer with the Learning Community and has been providing Person Centered Planning, Crisis Response Training, and Service Definition trainings for several years with October Road.
Laura has worked in mental health and substance abuse since 2002 in residential and outpatient settings. She spent the last four years working on and leading an Assertive Community Treatment Team. She balances work, school, and life with her 2 year old son and husband in Asheville.

Course Details
WHEN: Most series workshops will be held on the third Friday of the month, from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. unless otherwise noted.
WHERE: October Road Inc., 119 Tunnel Road. Suite B., Asheville, NC 28805. Workshops will be held in the downstairs meeting room, Suite B.
COST: $50 each. Unless noted otherwise, each course counts for 6 CEUs. Refunds are given with a 24 hour notice of cancellation and will include a $10 service charge. State required trainings are not eligible for discounts and do not count for CEU’s.
WHO SHOULD ATTEND: Workshops are created for adult learners who are working in behavioral health or sub-stance abuse. Interactive learning supports integration of information and skills. (NBCC and NCSAPPB contact hours applied for) All written materials will be available on the day of the workshop. Literary resources will be available for your perusal. Refreshments will be included. Limited to the first 35 registrations received.
DIRECTIONS: Take 240 west to exit 6 (Tunnel Road/Chunns Cove). Exit left to end of road and turn left. Travel to light and turn left. Pass Applebees on right and turn into parking lot between Applebees & Olive Garden. Travel to back of parking lot and you will see large white concrete building on left. Enter into Asheville Eye Clinic entrance and turn left. If you are coming from 240 east at exit 6 (Tunnel Road/Chunns Cove) travel to light and turn right. Olive Garden and Applebees will be on your immediate left. Turn left into parking lot between the two restaurants. Travel to back of parking lot and you will see a large white concrete building on left. Enter into Asheville Eye Clinic entrance and turn left.
